The Heart Behind the Planning

Laura Bauer

Founder & Lead Planner

As a Certified Wedding Planner with a background in Public Relations, I bring professionalism and a unique, storytelling approach to every wedding I design at Blue Lavender Weddings and Events. My approach is rooted in understanding your story and weaving meaningful, personal details into a celebration that feels warm, intentional, and true to you. Creating those heartfelt moments is genuinely my favorite part of this work!

I believe the best weddings begin with real connection. I take the time to get to know you — as individuals and as a couple — so your celebration reflects your values, your style, and the moments that matter most. Your love story is one‑of‑a‑kind, and your wedding should feel that way, too: thoughtful, personal, and authentically yours.

I've lived close to the land as I raised my kids, raising chickens, ducks, lambs, hogs, bunnies and bees. Sustainability is important to me, and I'd love to discuss how to incorporate that value into your wedding. It can be as simple as choosing a caterer who allows taking home leftovers, renting dishware, or even purchasing locally rather than online when you're able to. I'm so happy to take the extra steps to seek out industrial compost options, local artisans, and local, farm-to-table caterers.

In my personal time I enjoy traveling, cooking for others, and spending time with my family in nature. I've homeschooled my four kids and love to learn with them as often as I can!
On most days you'll catch me drinking an iced Americano in the morning, a tall glass of decaf iced tea in the afternoon, and a glass of red wine in the evening. (Sometimes a margarita!)
